Van der Grinten Galerie
Van der Grinten Galerie was founded in 1999 and over the course of 20 years, Van der Griten Galerie has expanded its program to include drawing, paper works, sculpture and installation. Since 2002, the gallery has exclusively offered architectural photographs by Karl Hugo Schmölz as modern prints (subtracted from the original negative), which were created in collaboration with the Wim Cox archive. The gallery has regularly participated in international art fairs such as; Art Brussels, Art Cologne, Paris Photo and Art Hong Kong and had a partnership with Cologne gallery owner Martin Kudlek which allowed for further collobrations between 2007 and 2012.
In the summer of 2016, Van der Grinten Galerie, moved to an exciting location ( also their current location) at Gertrudenstrasse 29 . The striking, historically shaped Bel Étage invites visitors and artists to an exciting dialogue between historical and contemporary. Thanks to its location on the first floor, gallery work, the communication of young contemporary art and historical positions, the presentation of its own book productions and editions and the series of events will in future be embedded in an even more personal atmosphere that has become a trademark of the Van der Grinten Gallery.
Franz and Nadia van der Grinten are happy to share their passion for art again and again with the growing number of collectors.
