LatchKey Gallery is a nomadic contemporary art gallery that looks to re-envision the traditional art gallery. Founders Natalie Kates and Amanda Uribe create exhibitions centered around artists whose work evoke critical inquiry to transform thought. Founded in 2018, LKG gravitates towards art and artists that challenges fixed notions in order to expand perceptions.
Since the gallery’s inception, LKG exhibitions elicit critical inquiry while championing artists early in their careers. Past exhibitions include Both at Once, with John Rivas and Raelis Vasquez, Damien Davis, This Ain’t No Disco, MIRROR MIRROR with artists February James and Shona McAndrew, A Bronx Tale, a unique studio exhibition experience for collectors, creatives and art enthusiasts including artists, Dario Calmese, Alteronce Gumby, Lucia Hierro and Tariku Shiferaw and 100 Works in collaboration with ElectorPositive and Art Noir featuring works by Derrick Adams, Mario Moore and Shervone Neckles.
LatchKey Gallery is committed to supporting art and culture and the role it plays in sustaining healthy communities. By partnering with various non-profit organizations to help their mission, LKG contributes a percentage of sales from exhibitions, and lends assistance by joining non profit committees that raise money throughout the year.
