Since its opening in 2005, Gallery KONG has taken a leading role in introducing European and American photographs to Korean audiences and helping to establish young Korean artists in international art market.
In 2005, Grace K.H. KONG opened her gallery with the first exhibition of American photographer Joel Meyerowitz in Korea. In 2010, K.O.N.G. gallery relocated to a new building in Samcheong-dong, the main art district in Seoul , which has three floors of exhibition space with a total of 4900 square feet.
K.O.N.G. gallery has represented established names such as Erwin Olaf, Michael Kenna, Bernard Faucon, Pentti Sammallahti, Tim Parchikov and emerging young artists Shin Jin, Jung Yeon MIN, Chen Ruo Bing, and etc.
Now K.O.N.G. Gallery focus more on providing the foremost opportunity to the artists working with various medium especially video and installation art. In addition to the gallery's role in domestic art market, K.O.N.G. will also continue to play its role as a global messenger in the international art market, organizing more interesting and leading exhibitions in the year to come.
