James Gardner, the founder of the Frutta gallery, has moved three times in Rome and his final location he found in the most iconic and creative neighbourhood of Trastevere.
New address in Via dei Salumi 53, not far from Piazza Santa Cecilia and Piazza dei Mercanti, in a gallery district that features galleries of a high calibre as T293 and Gavin Brown.
A simple and still characteristic space, 85 square meters of a unique environment, was divided in two halls. Preserving some elements from 70s, James Gardner was looking for creating a certain flavour of the whole project.
Frutta collaborates just with 9 international artists, promoting and organising their shows on a regular basis.
