Revealing Hues

Revealing Hues

"I have created a series of paintings that show that strength of various hues, and how color can make the composition of a painting more dynamic and atmospheric." - Suhas Bhujbal

In Revealing Hues, Suhas Bhujbal has focused his attention on color, following his belief that color can breathe life into a composition. The theme of color can be tracked throughout this exhibit, from the turquoise of the Bahamian water in Caribbean Beach, to the vibrant yellows, oranges, and pinks mixing with deep blues and greens in Warm Day on the Beach #2.

Suhas' current body of work continues to embrace his fascination with architecture, in both his traditional larger scale style, as well as a new, smaller scale style on paper. For Suhas, architecture provides a tangible scaffolding around which to construct a specific mood or narrative.
