CE QUE MES YEUX ONT SENTI

This exhibition is the opportunity to bring together, around the Memory of senses, original Polaroïds 55 of the series “Fragile” (1988-2008), as well as a series shown for the first time, “Printemps” (1992-1994), color Polaroïds SX70 enhanced with ink.

“The French exile of Payram the Iranian is as close as possible to what has constituted his work for more than thirty years. And this work is made of this photosensitive material, where the possibility of abolishing distances is at stake (…) Where the light begins a long slumber without dying. The condition of exile is also the condition of the work. Renunciation opens a fate. Payram invents in this Persian saudade pictures where time and distance are cancelled out by sensuality, which is an erotic consolation. ” Michel Poivert, Le sommeil des éclairs, 2018
