BRITISH PRINTS

BRITISH PRINTS

Presented alongside a selection of Modern British paintings, contemporary art and Modern Design, the prints in this exhibition are an eclectic mix of mediums, subjects and styles from various periods of the British Printmaking History. Intricate etchings by Graham Sutherland hang alongside the loose and minimal drypoints of Ben Nicholson, an early work by David Hockney from his first trip to the States in 1962 and Edward Bawden busy and humorous prints from the late 1920s and 1930s.

Examples of works by George Clausen, C.R.W. Nevinson, Eric Ravilious, Kenneth Martin, Frank Auerbach and John Hoyland are also on show.
