Artist biography

Wiliam Skotte Olsen, Danish painter and graphic artist, educated at the Art Academy 1965-70 and 1978-82. Wiliam Skotte Olsen cultivated a figurative, expressive painting from the 1960s. The influence of the rock music of the 1960s and the connection to the circle of modernism about the existential were central pointers; With a sense of coloristic expression, he developed a motif of mask-like faces, without psychology, but as abstract, spiritual beings.
