Siglinde Kallnbach was born in Tann, Germany in 1956 and studied from 1976 to 1983 at the Academy of Fine Arts and the GHK Kassel with Prof. Harry Kramer, Prof. Heiner Georgsdorf and Prof. Karl Oskar Blase. From 1977-78 she completed an academic year at Auckland University in New Zealand. In 1983 she received a scholarship from the Villigst Evangelical Study Center and the Robert Bosch Stiftung sponsorship award. Study visits, artist-in residencies and the realization of exhibitions and projects have repeatedly led her to Oceania and Southeast Asia. She received teaching assignments and led workshops at home and abroad, among others at Musashi University Tokyo, WAKO University Tokyo, Bochum University of Applied Sciences and at the Bad Reichenhall Academy.
