Artist biography

Using figurative motifs and inspiration from his travels, Michael Korman’s signature oil paintings have attracted the attention of private collectors from around the world. Korman began his art education at just five years old when famed Slovakian painter, Jozef Jelenak, admitted him to his courses for children. Having experimented with numerous styles throughout his education, Korman enjoyed working in a combination of graphics and painting branded with his signature, prior to mastering his current style.

Born in 1987 in Partizanske, Slovakia, Korman was educated under Jozef Jelenak as a child. He then went on to learn from designer Kornelia Lobotkova in 2006, where he mastered the four year curriculum in half the time, and graduated with a diploma by 2008. He now lives and works in Paris, France.

In 2009 he was one of the nominees of the Committee of Regions Forum’s 100 Young European Creative People. Michael Korman’s work can be found in the private collections of owners from around the world, including countries like Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, United States, Spain, Sri Lanka, and Switzerland, among many others.
