Mark Zbikowski (Zibbs) creates artwork that explores how the mind perceives color, pattern and dimension. He works with oil, acrylic, spray paint and steel to construct geometric abstractions that simultaneously please and deceive the viewer’s perception of space. His paintings use simple flat shapes, lines, and contrasting colors to visually transform his surfaces into multi-dimensional optical explorations. Mark holds degrees from Syracuse University, School of Visual and Performing Arts (MFA Studio Arts with Concentration in Painting and Sculpture) and Oswego State University (BFA School of Visual Arts with Concentration in Painting and Drawing).
