Uniting Swedish artist Jonas Lund’s diverse modes of artistic production is his emphasis on concepts that revolve around the modern networks that define our existence.
Creating works that span the web to in-person performances, Lund’s work often calls upon the viewer to activate portions of his presentation. In doing so, Lund creates a novel space for engagement that offers his audience a chance to interact directly with him in an artistic conversation.
Born in 1987 in Linköping, Sweden, Lund achieved a BFA in 2009 from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and subsequently achieved his MA at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam in 2013. Since graduating, Lund has been an active exhibitor of his work. Recent solo showcases include “Jonas Lund Token (JLT)” at Castor Gallery in New York (2018) and “Modern Solutions Require Modern Problems” at Aksioma in Ljubljana (2019).
