A maverick of the modern photography world, American artist Jesse Frohman has taken the field by storm.
Frohman excels at his imagery because he can convey the true nature of his subjects. Whether this means the detailed blemishes on the petal of a rose to a casual portrait photograph of one of the many celebrities Frohman has had the pleasure to shoot, each photograph exudes the ideal illumination and contrast to become its own compelling work of art.
Earning his degree in economics from the University of Michigan, Frohman decided soon after his graduation that it was time to pursue a career in photography. His first years as photographer found him notable success, including work with some of the biggest names in magazines. Since then, Frohman’s work has been published by notable houses such as Thames & Hudson, and his photography lives in some of the world’s best museums, including the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, New York.
