Inspired by the ubiquity of computers and digital media in our world today Inma Femenia’s sculptural works are informed by digital media as a language that modifies the appearance of form. Placing her artistic practice within the digital field she explores colour, texture, and depth through “painting” in digital colours and bending metal into shapes reminiscent of glitching computer screens.
Born in Pego, Spain in 1985, Inma Femenia graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters in Arts Production from the Universitat Politècnica de Valènica. She currently lives and works in València, Spain.
Inma Femenia has held solo exhibitions in València, Salamanca, Alicante, London, Madrid, and Milan. Additionally, her work has been part of group exhibitions around the world. Her pieces can be found in the collections of Bombas Gens, DKV Foundation, SCAN. Spanish Contemporary Art Network, Entidad Cultural Valenciana El Piló, Esprohident Foundation, Generalitat Valenciana, Harddiskmuseum, Museo contemporáneo de Pego, The International Museum of Electrography, Universidad Miguel Hernández, Universitat Politècnica de València, and Valencia City Council.
