Emilia Olsen was born in 1989 in South Africa and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She received her B.F.A. from the Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, D.C., and has participated in a variety of residencies including DNA Residency in Provincetown, MA and Bebedero, Costa Rica, among others. She has exhibited widely in both solo and group exhibitions. Selected group exhibitions include Summer of Love and The Secret Life of Plants at Freight+Volume Gallery, NY, and her solo exhibitions include Death and the Maiden at Doppelganger Studio, NY and The Moon and Me at Anaba Project, Bethesda, MD.
