Employing bright yet atmospheric applications of color that conjure mystical realms, Danish artist Anders Brinch creates a space of fantasy and frolic in his larger body of work.
In a mode akin to earlier artistic innovators Odilon Rédon or Paul Klee, Brinch saturates his work with a myriad of messages and motifs that seem significant in their repetition but nevertheless allude to pure imaginative inspiration. At the same time, Brinch uses this web of color and form to explore the bounds of the painted surface and invites the viewer of his work to join him on this adventurous journey.
Born in Denmark in 1971, Brinch earned his degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2007. Since graduating, Brinch has enjoyed the showcase of his work in a wide variety of venues around the globe. His work has also been welcomed into the permanent collection of prestigious international collections, including those of ARKEN Museum of Modern Art; KUNSTEN Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum; as well as the Skive Kunstmuseum.
