Stephen Wilkes’ series, "Day to Night", is his most ambitious to date. Wilkes began this series of landscapes in 2009, which have now been collected in the monograph, Day to Night (TASCHEN 2019). Requiring two cameras with up to 30 hours of exposure time - one capturing daylight, the other night - each work illustrates an entire day in a single image. Over the past three decades, Stephen Wilkes has established himself as one of the world’s most acclaimed landscape photographers. Living and working in Westport, Connecticut, Wilkes has traveled the world capturing the beauty of land and cityscapes, while also documenting the destruction of events like Hurricane Katrina and climate change.
