Founded in 2004 by Renata Bianconi, Galleria Bianconi is a space dedicated to art that has been working for more than 15 years with italian and international artists who stand out for the innovative scope of their work. Its headquarter in Via Lecco 20, Milan, renewed and increasingly dedicated to the “artistic occurrence”, is set up as a “factory”, driving artistic innovation, research and cultural debate. The gallery interprets its mission as an articulated work of promotion and investigation of the artist’s work, combining market operations with cultural events, debates, critical publications and collaborations with private and institutional entities. Aware that art needs, for its very existence and development, dialogue and reflection, gallery’s artists, although belonging to different generations or different cultural backgrounds, are called to interact with each other dealing with similar themes and different languages. This occasion leads to projects of confrontation that, although with a curatorial direction, leave the artists involved free to relate to each other and with the space. Galleria Bianconi is a reality in continuous evolution, a physical place, but expanded, flexible and dynamic that adapts itself to the changes of the Art System, sometimes anticipating them, because Art to keep itself alive and current must be as life: in constant motion.
