Galerie Grande Fontaine
Founded by the painter Léo Andenmatten, the Grande-Fontaine gallery has been located in the old town of Sion since the mid-1970s.
In 1977, Léo joined Carlo Olsommer and founded with him the Friends of the Arts society. Suzanne Bolli-Besson was hired as director in 1984, then, two years later, bought the gallery. Since then, she has offered nine to ten exhibitions a year: her favorites born of beautiful encounters and workshop discoveries.
More than 250 confirmed artists, like young talents in whom she believes, have already hung their works on its picture rails. She hopes to continue this exciting "adventure" for a long time, supported since 2008 by her daughter-in-law, Effi Szopinski-Bolli.
Both want to introduce and appreciate artists living in Valais, but also outside the canton.
In the 2016 cultural awards ceremony, the gallery received the special award.
