David Moreno's sculptures look like sketches. They represent a dreamed, fantasized architecture, located halfway between concept and realization, between model and precious object. This is partly what gives them such a light appearance: they seem not to be completely materialized. They still belong to the realm of dream or thought. These are architectures that have not given up on the dreams and dreams of the architect.
This exhibition at the Danysz gallery is an exclusive: it is the first time that the work of David Moreno is presented in China. The Shanghai public is invited to come and discover new installations, as well as a recent work of sculpture that suggests, as always with David Moreno, a world imbued with ideal.
The imaginary buildings of the Catalan artist continue to be mirages that vibrate and sparkle when you look at them and go around them. The eyes are mystified by these multiple hatches and these interstices which allow the day to filter through them. David Moreno seems to be right in every way with Le Corbusier's famous phrase: "Architecture is the skillful, correct and magnificent play of forms assembled in light."
