Raíces y brotes
Three artists who have recently exhibited for the first time at ÀMBIT Galeria d'Art create a series of works inspired by three historical artists from the personal collection of the gallery.
José Luis Paz Fo, with repetitions of geometric and numerical forms, meets the work of Albert Ràfols Casamada from the series "workshop drawings", in a dialogue of monochrome landscapes and everyday objects. Vanesa Muñoz deals with the work of Riccardo Licata from the point of view of rhythm and harmonic composition, transforming the signs of the Italian artist into a three-dimensional musical score. Oksana Mas works the plasticity of the material inspired by the manipulation of matter and the treatment of colors so characteristic of Josep Guinovart’s work.
The project fosters the new artists to research and experiment on some of the gallery's historical artists, emphasizing the way in which in their processes of artistic creation, they look at and dialogue with their previous referents.
