Ode to Fall
This retrospective Zita Taraseviciene art exhibition is dedicated to the latest series ‘Ode to Fall’. In this series artist is encapsulating her favorite season. The abstract pattern in Zita’s works plays the main role in this series, and is being followed with exquisite colors, which varies from deep dark blue to the sparkling gold. What is fascinating in this ‘Ode to Fall’ series are the colors itself: they look so unnatural to the fall colors, which are very earthy and muted. According to Zita, she sees this season differently, and this difference is the colors. Every single work in this series is not only dedicated to the fall season, but to the colors as well. The change in colors is showing that the seasons are changing. And here you can see how this season is changing in Zita’s works – from pinkish, leaking colors, mixed with temper, it is changing smoothly to the bold and cold colors and sharp, spiky objects. From soft to rigid, from lavish to meager – artist is showing the beauty of change. The overall view of this exhibition snuggles the viewer in a warm blanket and transfers him to a nice afternoon walk in the full fall season.
