In her research Nadia Galbiati explores architectural design as a linguistic code, translating it into sculptures and installations with a strong personality. Galbiati deals with the theme of perception of space and of being that surrounds us, also understood as an urban place. Hers elegant geometric structures translate the current architectural reality into abstraction, renewing and bringing to contemporary times a reflection on the themes of the square-shape, the harmonious rigour of the parts and the dialogue between object and space that has its roots in the Bauhaus and Constructivism.With her chosen material - iron - Nadia Galbiati constructs powerfully evocative geometric shapes, which preserve an unexpected lightness and a very personal poetry even in their severe regularity: works that tell our cities, the new current urban codes, the places of today, moving them on a timeless, absolute and universal plane.
