HEIMO ZOBERNIG "HEIMO ZOBERNIG"
Since 1986 Heimo Zobernig has used the sans serif font Helvetica for catalog and poster designs. Once celebrated as an icon of swissstyle, Helvetica lost increasing prestige in the course of the 80s. "Among the types of fonts, it became something like the pressboard under the furniture. Their form is so neutral that the viewer forgets that it is writing "(1). From 1990, Zobernig began to label his exhibitions from AZ on a continuous basis with Helvetica letters in a lettering of 115 cm. In 1993, he designed a poster in the colors orange, brown, gray, black and white for a group exhibition, for the first time the word REAL appeared (2). One year later the first REAL pictures are made in the same colors.
