In HABITAT (2006) we are invited to follow nine people and a dog living in a three storey house. No one plays the leading part, everybodys stories intertwine with eachother. It’s an urban drama that mixes everyday life with absurdity, humour and seriousness. As in many of Lars Arrhenius work, cause and effect plays an important part. After 'The Man Without Qualities' (2002) and 'The Street' (2004) is it the third and last in a trilogy where Lars Arrhenius has used the pictogram as a form of expression. Pictograms (Isotypes) were created by Otto Neurath and Gerd Antz as a simple way to inform citizens of statistics and information on the city and society.
