Rosanda Sorakaitė (1988), creates the body of piece of art, which catches perceiver and suspends for contemplation. With her specific artistic thinking, which formed by methodical work, Rosanda creates meditative artworks that contain image through awaited moment and reflects fragments of her surroundings. Rosanda Sorakaitė: “It is about memories. Works of art appear from the observation of the environment, reconsidering the past. Sometimes a motive appears accidentally, sometimes I‘m watching it for a while, but in both cases it occurs like a brief flash that allows you to understand that this moment matches with an inner thought, which may be not yet tangible, but already intuited. And the picture is always only something similar to what you have intended to portray. A process of painting immerses into the time that no longer exists and you are alone, by yourself. The work – as a memory of time, unfamiliar, but perhaps more real than any day that we have seen”.
