Known for his staged portraits, Per Morten Abrahamsen has been at the forefront of Danish photography for nearly three decades. He is responsible for iconic images that are widely published by his major commercial partners. His work has been part of album covers, corporate art decoration, international advertising campaigns, editorial and online content, and theatre and dance productions.
Per Morten Abrahamsen was born in Copenhagen in 1957 and continues to live and work in his hometown while carrying out international projects.
Abrahamsen’s work has been part of group and solo exhibitions in renowned institutions including the Krankenhause Museum, Bremen; City Hall, Copenhagen; Photofest, Houston; Danish National Portrait Gallery, Hillerød; Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen; Carrouselles de Louvre, Paris; and Scandinavian Photography, Iowa; among numerous others. He has innumerable notable clients, such as the Royal Danish Theatre, Mærsk, Sony/Ericsson, IKEA, Carlsberg, CitiBank, FNAC, Atlantic Airways, Novo Nordisk, and SAS.
