Building up from the language of color and form in her work, Danish painter Malene Landgreen calls upon elements ranging from precise geometries to lyrical expressions to create compelling compositions.
Often considering the ways in which the spaces of our modern world are defined – whether it is the parameters of a work of art or the defining structures of an architectural installation Landgreen pursues this line of inquiry by creating art that seeks to transform expectations. The result is a body of work that resonates with the unique language of the artist but that speaks to many.
Born in Denmark in 1962, Landgreen splits her time today between Copenhagen and Berlin.
