Louis Maieu was born in 1920 and was primarily inspired by the 1950s growing up. During the Post War period, New York City became the international focus for Modernism. During the Second World War, many artists had made their way to the city after having fled in exile from Europe, which culminated in a merging and amalgamation of abilities and ideas.
