Artist biography

Kristine Kemp lives and works in Copenhagen and received the National Art Foundation's three-year work grant in 2017. During the period 2014-2019, she was professor and a transitional constituted rector at the Funen Academy of Fine Arts.

Her contributions to group exhibitions include 'Mutter Ich bin dumm' Institut Funder Bakke (Silkeborg) 'Reel to Real' Künstlerhaus FRISE (Hamburg) 'Before Normal: Concept after Concept' Museum of Contemporary Art (Roskilde) 'In These Great Times' Artist's House ( Oslo) and solo exhibitions in the Malmö Art Gallery (Malmö) Primer (Lyngby) Gallery Cubitt (London) and YEARS (Copenhagen).

Kristine Kemp studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (1988-94) and in London at The Slade School of Fine Art and followed Marc Cousin's 'Fridays Lectures' at the Architectural Association (1993-1995).
