Exploring the intersections between art, geopolitics, and the fabric of our current cultural climate, Italian art innovator Francesco Jodice has cultivated a body of work that documents aspects of our shared societal spaces.
Compelled to chronicle the ways in Western culture has begun to decay, Jodice offers a sobering look at the world around us in an effort to note the overall natural progression of one culture’s dominance over another.
Born in Naples, Italy, in 1967, Jodice was an essential artistic voice of the movements of Multiplicity and Zapruder. Today, Jodice is based in Milan. In addition to teaching at theNuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Jodice has been an active exhibitor of his work in a variety of prestigious locales. His art has appeared at Documenta, the Venice Biennale, and has also been showcased at the Tate Modern in London, the Winterthur Fotomuseum in Switzerland, and the Museo del Prado in Madrid.
