Swedish artist Erick Jeor uses soft washes of watercolor to create compelling works that tap into the splendors of both nature and psychology.
Allowing each work to evolve at its own pace and into its own compositional realm, Jeor creates a contemplative sense across his body of work. Evoking images reminiscent of soothing landscapes or spiritual beings, Jeor allows his art to achieve a powerful dimension.
Born in Sweden, Jeor earned a degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Beaux Arts in 2004 and subsequently achieved an MFA from The Royal Institute of Arts in Stockholm, Sweden in 2006. Since then, Jeor has been an active exhibitor of his work. Recent showcases of his work include “Till hjärtat gående” at KB Konstnärshuset in Stockholm (2018); “Nature Speaks I” at Galerie Ora-Ora in Hong Kong (2018); and “Double take” at Nordiska galleriet 1921 in Stockholm (2019). His work is included among the permanent collections of the Moderna Museet as well as the Malmö Konstmuseum.
